Rosanne Clark Chandler's family go back to several immigrant ancestors. Her father, Ebenezer Clark was born in Newmarket, Rockingham, New Hampshire, the son of John Clark and Esther Weeks Clark.
John Clark is the son of Richard Clark and Lydia Marston Clark. Very little is known about the Clark family, but the Marston family is a prominent one in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire, going back to the immigrant ancestor, Thomas Marston and his wife, Mary Estow Marston, the daughter of William Estow.
Thomas and Mary were the parents of Isaac who married Mary Brown, the daughter of John Brown and Sarah Walker Brown. Isaac's eldest son was Caleb, who married Anna Moulton, the daughter of John Moulton and Lydia Taylor Moulton, the descendant of immigrant ancestors, John Moulton and Anthony Taylor.
Ebenezer Clark was born on January 2, 1764. He moved to Landaff in Grafton County and on November 3, 1788 married Hannah Merrill, the daughter of Moses Merrill and Hannah Greenough Merrill. Ebenezer died on May 8, 1828 in Landaff at the age of sixty four. Hannah lived on until February 12, 1852, dying at the age of eighty four. Their graves have not been found.
The Merrills trace their ancestry to the immigrant ancestor Nathaniel Merrill, who was one of the first settlers of Newbury, Massachusetts.
Hannah Greenough Merrill's great-grandparents were William Dole and Mary Brocklebank Dole, who appear twice in the Little family tree.
