| Birth* | ||
| She was the daughter of Samuel Ellis and Maria Brouwer. | ||
| Marriage* | 6 August 1783 | Elizabeth Ellis married George Ryerson, son of Johannes F (John Francis) Ryerson and Maritje Wessels, on 6 August 1783 by license.1 |
| Death* | after 12 May 1802 | Elizabeth Ellis died after 12 May 1802 after she and her husband sold the farm he had inherited from his father. Both Ryerson books speculate she's the Elizabeth Ryerson who died 28 Mar 1804 Trinity Churchyard. However, that person age 68 making her born 1736 - to old for children in 1780s when she would have been 48+. Plus, that would have made her father much older than thought, and he would have had to have an otherwise unknown earlier marriage. Trinish Church letter in 1983 says that their Register of Burals Vol 1 pg 299 gives an entry but "unfortunately we do not have a record of the plot, as there may never have been a tombstone or if there were one erected it is now either illegible or the stone somehow crumbled." |
