1677, William Bartholomew resided Hatfield or Deerfield, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts: lived in Hatfield (or Deerfield) when Abigail was captured by Indians and taken to Canada. She was redeemd and returned eight months later. Johnson says Deerfield, other sources say Hatfield.1
