Birth*1770 Simeon Hinman was born 1770 at Cheshire, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, Abbott book says Simon was the youngest son of Abijah Hinman and Rebecca Minor. They moved from Benson to New Haven VT, then to western NY and finally to OH.2 
He was the son of Abijah Hinman (RevWar Patriot) and Rebecca Minor.1 
Marriage*Simeon Hinman married Mary Abbott, daughter of Timothy Abbott (RevWar Patriot) and Hannah Murray.1 
Event-Misc*12 March 1798Simeon Hinman had the following event: he was a Surveyor of the Highways with twelve others on 12 March 1798 at Benson, Rutland Co., Vermont.3

*not Mary since she's deceased. Descendants of Sergt Edward Hinman states that Simeon married a second wife before his death. It is possible that the move of over 200 miles from Benson Vt to Boston NY took its toll on his first wife. She is probably the "Miiss Skinner" referred to in Dessc of George Abbott. 
Census1830*1830He was the head of the household in the 1830 census, at Aurora Twnshp, Erie Co., New York, with POSSIBLE This household has as its head Simeon Henman age 50-60, which fits his age. However, none of the rest of the household fits unless he is living with a widowed daughter. That seems to be a likely possibilty as Aurora Twnship in Erie county and Boston in Niagra county (where he lived in 1820) are only about 15 miles apart. (1m0-5, 1m5-10, 1m10-15, 1m50-60, 1f15-19, 1f30-40). 
Death*circa 1850He died circa 1850 Abbott book says Simon moved to Ohio after he lived in western NY. Hinman website only says he died about 1850.2,1
