Samuel, bought three hundred acres of wild land in Parsonsfield, Me. for his son Samuel, and he spent the next season making preparations for his wife's removal and their living there. In April, 1794, Samuel, on one horse, with his goods, adn Molly, his wife, with their son David, on another horse, started from Hampton, N.H., at 4 o'clock in the morning and reached their home in Parsonsfield in the evening of the same day, a distance of sixty miles." NOTE: there is an error in the dates as son David wasn't born until August. The History of Parsonsfield says he settled there in 1795, but also gives the Apr 1794 date in the narrative.2,3
