Birth*circa 1747 Rev. Benjamin Stone (RevWar Patriot) was born circa 1747 at Virginia some published sources have 1743, but Williams's estimate is 1747/8 - "I suspect somebody read a script 1748 that was faded and came up with 1743."2 
He was the son of Thomas Stone and Mary Butler.1 
Marriage*1773Rev. Benjamin Stone (RevWar Patriot) married Anna Asbury, daughter of George Asbury and Hannah Hardwick-Hardage, in 1773 at Richmond, (Independent City), Virginia, a "deed from 1772 shows Benjamin and Anna were married and had a daughter Rhoda by then. So the claims he was married in 1773 is flat out wrong" (quoting Wm Stone)
     Marriage could also be Culpeper Co VA per "Stone and Associated Families" (929.273 St71ma film 1750730 #14) so keep this in mind when looking for the marriage. However, SLC does not have any marriage records for that county prior to 1780.
     Ancestry says they married 1767, but one paper on file with DAR says they maried 1773.2
