CAUTION*There is the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION for Jeremiah Asbury Stone: On some DAR applications, there are references to Jeremiah's diary. However, on asking the DAR to send a copy, they replied:
"Thank you for your request for ... Specifically your interest is in a journal of Jeremiah Asbury Stone. Ruth Williamson, #475762, described this journal as "on file with one paper."
Eleven papers, which preceded Mrs Williamson's paper, were pulled and reviewed for listing of such an enclosure. There was no mention on nine. On two papers, there was mention of a journal or diary but no indication of it being enclosed or attached.
     #187301 Add 175 (1925)
"Journal of Jeremiah Asbury Stone" is listed as a reference but the DAR checker does not check it off as received or reviewed.
     #408089 Add 390 (1955)
"See Jeremiah's diary" appears in the midst of the description of Ancestor's Services, but no diary is cited under references. Under lineage, the applicant notes, "all dates in this paper are from records collected by the Stone family association of which Gov. Wm. Stone of Mo. was president, now deceased, but copies of this data can be obtained from Mary A Stone, #62586."
Mary Stone, the first to apply on Benjamin through son Jeremiah, did not mention any journal or diary in her paper.
Enclosed please find a copy of the only material on file from the time before Mrs Williamson's paper was submitted. Later date do not include such a journal either.

I've had no luck tracking down the diary. There is email correspondance to document what all has been tried. He's offered to transcribe that letter, and am awaiting that transcription.
