Elizabeth Fawne was mentioned in the will of LukeFawne on 11 February 1665 "Luke Fawne, citizen and stationer of London" included bequests to "my kinswoman Mrs Elizabeth Clement, living near Boston in New England, eldest dauther of my brother Mr John Fawne" and to "her son Fawne Clement". Attempts to secure this legacy occupied descendants as late as 1719. In trying to secure the inheritance, Elizabeth's husband Robert Clement gathered depositions by neighbors who remembered the Fawne family. Since he didn't leave a bequest to his brother, the implication is that he is already deceased.2
