Samuel Cowell, in the exp. of 1778 to R.I. Son of Moses and Sarah (Partridge Chamberlain, b. Walpole, Mass. Sept. 2, 1762, m. in Newton, Mar 6, 1784, Susannah Brown, dau. of Ebenezar and Elizabeth (Jameson) Brown. He came to Fitchburg in 1786 and resided here 16 years at what was later known as the Goudhue place on the old Leominster road. He moved to Swanzey and to Keene, N.H. where he died June 11, 1840. | |
