She married Joshua Carr on 18 December 1808 at Wellsburg, Brooke Co., West Virginia, "In 1808, his third wife, Mary, married Joshua Karr and went to Tuscarawas Co., Ohio for a couple of years, then went to Stark Co., Ohio, where she is listed in the 1840 Census as being over 90 years of age, then was buried on their farm (Joshua & Mary). I know of no record of her maiden name. When Mary’s daughter, Drucilla died she (widow of Aquilla Karr) married John Kyly, their five children were taken by Mary Shrimplin Karr and reared them to maturity (this came directly to me from the author of the Karr family history; (incidentally, Joshua & Mary were both about 60 years of age when they married)."¹

Mary (__________) died after 1840 at Starke Co., Ohio, There is not one shred of evidence that there were two Mary Shrimplins (b. about 1750, d after 1840), she out-lived them all.¹
