| CAUTION | There is the following CAUTIONARY INFORMATION for Nathan-Nathaniel Offutt: There is confusion regarding brothers Nathan and Nathaniel. Source as well as http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kybullitt/message/895?source=1 (group membership required for site) both say that Nathanial was born 20 Sep 1737 (one in Prince George Co, the other in Frederick/Montgomery Co) and dying about 1786/1788 in Hampshire Co (W)VA. They also both say that Nathan was born 1 Dec 1740 (one in Prince George Co, the other doesn't say) and died 17 Jan 1778 in Montgomery Co MD, and that the wife is Mary who later married Martin Houser. The will of the person who died in 1778 in Montgomery county is Nathaniel, and names wife Mary as executrix. Later, Mary, with subsequent husband Martin Howser, is the executrix of Nathan Offutt. Conclusion: there is no way to tell if which brother this one is, without researching the person who died in Hampshire Co (W)VA, which we leave to someone else.1 | |
