She was the daughter of Truman Bearss and Sabrina Roberts. 
(Witness) Association"In 1828 he entered the employ of W. G. and G. W. Ewing, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, who were engaged in trade with Indians. (W[illiam] G[riffith]Ewing married Esther Bearss, sister of Daniel R. Bearss)."1 
Marriage*Esther Bearss married Hon. William Griffith Ewing, son of Alexander Ewing (RevWar Patriot) and Charlotte Griffith, no children of their own but reared 13 children in their home including his adopted son, and the minor children of brother Charles.2

Relation*Esther Bearss and Cynthia Bearss were related: Esther was the aunt to Cynthia but we don't know who Cynthia's parents are - probably Esther's brother Ephraim as he was married in Michigan (Brownstown, Wayne Co.) in 1808, a year before Esther was born in Michigan.
