Marriage*
1 May 1859
Captain George Washington Jewett married Anna MariaGreenleaf, daughter of William WigglesworthGreenleaf and Louisa MTarbox, on 1 May 1859 Jewett book and IGI both saythey married 1 May 1859. The IGI says they married at Bethlehem Lutheran And Reformed Church, Boardman Twp., Mahoning Co., Ohio but why would they have gone so far from home to marry? It's interesting to note that they had a daughter a year before that (in the census), yet she's not mentioned in the Jewett book, nor is there any other record of her.1
