He was buried at St Peter's Church (German Lutheran), Rhinebeck, Dutchess Co., New York, Old Gravestones of Dutchess County says "Martin, Gotlop, d. 1832, Nov. 2, a. 86 y. 10m." but no tombstone was found for him in July 1980 when visiting cemetery. Photo is the empty spot next to his wife, where his remains must reside.
